Transforming the lives of underserved youth through Christ sharing relationships.
Tacoma YFC exists to meet young people where they are, on campuses, in detention centers, in neighborhoods, and within their own families, offering hope, belonging, and purpose through consistent, caring presence.
For us, transformation isn’t just a program outcome; it’s the result of relationships built on trust and love. We believe every young person has God-given value and potential, and when they’re surrounded by supportive mentors and a healthy community, change becomes possible, one life at a time.
Who We Serve & How We Serve
We walk with youth across the Tacoma area who are navigating real challenges, pressure at school, fractured families, unstable housing, justice involvement, and the everyday weight of growing up without steady support.
These young people are not projects to fix, but lives to be valued and believed in. Through programs like Youth Mentorship, Teen Parent Support, and On-Campus Programming, we meet students where they are and help them take steps toward a healthier future. Our approach is relational, trauma-informed, and centered on long-term growth, helping youth make positive choices (Behavioral), build confidence (Emotional), form healthy relationships (Relational), explore meaning and purpose (Spiritual), and envision a hopeful future (Trajectory).
Together with community partners, volunteers, and supporters, we’re building a network of care that reminds youth they matter and that change-real, lasting change-is possible.

Tacoma YFC has been part of the heartbeat of this city, walking alongside young people and reminding them they are seen, valued, and loved. What began as a few faithful leaders gathering youth for conversations about faith and life has grown into a network of mentors, volunteers, and partners serving hundreds of students each year.
Through seasons of change, one thing has remained constant: our commitment to show up. Whether in schools, detention centers, or living rooms, we believe hope takes root when adults choose to be present in the lives of youth. Our history is a story of steady faithfulness, generation after generation investing in Tacoma’s next.
