Introducing Chad Isenhart!

Tacoma Area Youth For Christ’s New Executive Director

Chad Isenhart, Tacoma YFC Executive Director, and family

Chad Isenhart, his wife Jordyn, and their children Alana (8), Graham (4), and Judah (6).

We are excited to share that after a thorough search and selection process, much prayer and several rounds of interviews we have hired a new Executive Director – Chad Isenhart! Chad is a local Tacoma native, attended Pacific Lutheran University, and most recently has served as the Director of Disaster Relief for the Foursquare Church. He and his wife, Jordyn, have three children (Alana – age 8, Judah – 6, and Graham -4) and call Tacoma home. Chad’s extensive experience in fund development, building teams, and working cross culturally, combined with his passion to reach young people with the hope of Jesus will be a blessing to the Tacoma YFC mission as he steps into this new role. Chad will begin in June and will work with the outgoing Executive Director, Bobby Arkills, in a transition process prior to Bobby formally stepping away June 30.

Thank you for your prayers and encouragement over the past four months. We are so grateful for the tireless work, energy and wisdom of our Board of Directors through this entire process.

With a reflection on all God has done in 2022 our Tacoma YFC team looks forward to 2023 with vision and expectancy. Our organization is as healthy as it’s ever been with a strong culture, growing ministry sites, and in good financial standing. It is with this backdrop that we are sharing the exciting news that after 32 years with Youth for Christ and the past 20 as Executive Director in Tacoma, Bobby Arkills has decided to step down from his role effective June 30, 2023. Over the past seven years he has been significantly impacted by having an executive coach and now feels that, with his giftings and skills, God is calling him to step into coaching full time. The power of asking and listening, of drawing the best out of others, has captivated his heart and we are all excited to see where the Lord leads.

It was through Youth for Christ that he gave his life to Jesus back in 1985. He loves this mission now more than ever and we are confident we have the right board and staff to lead us into new territory. Our Board of Directors has taken full leadership of this transition process, integrating input from key YFC staff as well as the 2-3 year vision of where YFC can make the greatest impact.

Looking forward to both opportunity and challenge in 2023, will you pray with us for God’s leading? Pray for God’s continued financial provision, as well as discernment on behalf of our Board as they seek the right people to interview. The momentum is strong heading into 2023, with new and exciting open doors for ministry in Pierce County. Ministry is growing in breadth and depth, our team is excited, and we hope you will join us in continuing to trust the Father’s heart for this generation!

We ask you to join us in praying for God’s will and leading as well as help in spreading the word about this great opportunity.
