Jesse Restuccio, Tacoma YFC Campus Life

Meet Jesse!

Tacoma YFC has been building relationships with University Place students for years, most recently through Campus Life Narrows View Intermediate School. Ministry is expanding to Curtis Junior High in 2022 and Jesse Restuccio is the guy for the job! With a strong vision for reaching young people authentically, empowering volunteers, and partnering with community organizations, we are excited to see Jesse lead the University Place team.

What are you excited about in your new role?

I am most excited to connect and reach the students of UP (University Place). In addition to that, I am all about forging strong and lasting relationships, which I am thrilled to do so for UP. Plus, I get to see YFC come to Curtis Jr High and be part of building it up there. Just so exciting!

Why YFC?

Why not YFC? We are a ministry all about relationships with students and leading them to Christ in the place they spend most of their time by connecting their story and ours to Christ. I’m all about relationships and stories and this is the place where those two things come together to reach students. What’s not to love about that? Plus, YFC is a place that I believe understands very well that students are the now, not just the future. I am all in to seeing the students of UP come to know Jesus, grow with him, and empower them to do the same for others. Let’s go UP!

Is a hot dog a sandwich?

Dictionary.com says it is and I’d have to agree.

What’s the best book you’ve read lately?

Live No Lies by John Mark Comer and Star Wars the High Republic: The Rising Storm by Cavan Scott. I always read a personal development book and one book for fun.

What’s the best prank you’ve ever pulled?

I slashed someone’s tires once. Even told them and it scared them. When they went to look at their car, they found pictures of lead guitarist Slash from Guns & Roses on the tires. It was very punny.

Besides Jesus, your family, etc., what’s something you love/are passionate about? Or a hobby you have?

Okay so I am a huge nerd. I love everything Star Wars. You could even call me a Star Wars Historian. And I am all about story telling so I love reading, watching movies/TV, and playing video games. So, let’s talk about some stories!

Be sure to say hi to Jesse if you stop by the office or see him around UP!
