Juvenile Justice Ministry

What We Do

JJM seeks to engage young people as they are met in a variety of youth-serving institutions (detention centers, probation, correctional facilities, group homes, residential treatment centers and emergency shelters).  These valued relationships are sustained through ongoing involvement as they reenter their communities.

Where We Go

Multiple times per week, dedicated volunteers enter Remann Hall, bringing games, guidance, scripture, listening ears and open hearts.

Our One80 Mentorship Program provides mentors for system-involved  youth. For details on the program, how to refer a young person, and how you can get involved with One80, click here

Our story

Reaching youth wherever they are found

Imagine being 16 years old, committing a crime, and going to live in juvenile detention. You wait for your release, knowing what awaits you: the same friends, family, and life that got you into jail. How can you forge a new path for your life?

YFC has been working with youth in Remann Hall for the last 30 years. Four times a week we are inside offering chapel services, small group Bible studies, one on one counseling, and life skills classes to detained youth.

Committed to reaching youth wherever they are found, we also offer the One80 Mentorship Program supporting young people transitioning out of the juvenile justice system.
