Our story
Mentorship Matters
Our hope is for every youth involved in the system to have the opportunity to say yes to a mentor.
The presence or absence of a consistent caring adult could mean the difference between a young person thriving as a student or dropping out, contributing as a citizen or engaging in unproductive behavior, pursuing one’s dreams or disengaging from society.
Building trusting relationships with youth is critical if we are to see successful outcomes. This can only happen by investing time in the relationship. The more time we invest, the stronger and more trusting the relationship becomes. Consistency is key.
