University Place Area Campus Life Site Leader

About the position:

The University Place Area Campus Life Site Leader will be primarily responsible for coaching and managing all University Place Area volunteer missional communities. The Campus Life Site Leader will lead his/her teams in engaging youth in authentic, Christ-sharing relationships, and executing effective, relational, and holistic ministry (as defined by YFC USA’s National Standards) and city-wide events. The Site Leader responds to issues affecting youth in their neighborhoods to intentionally partner with other agencies and churches to bring a spiritual and relational response to felt needs.   

QualificationsThe Campus Life Site Leader must:

  • Have a Christian faith with a strong desire to share the gospel with others
  • Love working with young people aged 11-19, articulate a calling to ministry, specifically outreach
  • Have experience leading teams
  • Have excellent verbal skills
  • Be able to maintain a flexible schedule
  • Be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Have cultural humility and ability to manage diverse groups of people
  • Agree to YFC statement of faith
  • Abide by YFC standards of conduct
  • Provide references who will speak to the applicant’s character, integrity and maturity
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and appropriate insurance
 

About Tacoma Youth For Christ:

In 1944 Billy Graham and Torrey Johnson held a Youth for Christ rally in Chicago. The ministry of YFC spread like wildfire across the US. As YFC was forming into an international organization, Tacoma was one of the founding chapters. The founding motto of YFC is as true to today as it was when it was coined, “Anchored to the Rock and geared to the times.” YFC has never veered from its commitment to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to lost and hurting young people.

Time Commitment:

This is a full time position.  This may include working some evenings and some weekend commitments.
