What are you excited about in your new role?
I am excited for so many things! I am excited to go where the spirit leads, to be present and to help manifest the strategic plan of Tacoma YFC. I’m excited to get to know our programs and how this role can make a difference in reaching more youth to introduce to Jesus and the good news of the gospel.
Why YFC?
Youth for Christ….that is why! The young generation is NOT lost! They are actually the movement of Christ on the earth whether they realize it now or not! YFC has the ability and calling to connect and build relationships with youth from all walks of life. How great a calling! In this new season YFC can draw in the support of giving partners and others who have the heart to see the youth thrive in Jesus and then live their own divine destines, all for the praise of HIS GLORY!
What’s the best book you’ve read lately?
Holly by Stephen King (Fun fact: I own every Stephen King book. I’m a huge fan of his writing. Not because I love scary things, but because I adore his writing style. The first Stephen King book I ever read was “IT” when I was a freshman in high school and it was the hardcover so it looked like a dictionary. Now THAT book was scary! But ever since then I have been a fan of his writing.)
What’s the best prank you’ve ever pulled?
I don’t pull pranks… I never really have, now joking.. yes I joke all the time but I never remember what I’ve said soooo-there is that!
Besides Jesus, your family, etc., what’s something you love/are passionate about? Or a hobby you have?
I love the performing arts and I’m passionate about poetry, acting and singing. I especially like improv. I also have a passion to motivate, mentor and inspire others.
What song do you know all the lyrics to?
Would you rather fight 50 duck-sized horses or one horse-sized duck?
One horse sized duck! 50 duck sized horses would be terrifying!!! But I feel like I could go toe to webbed toe (or palmate feet if we want to be fancy) anytime! Besides that I don’t think a horse sized duck would be that fast because of those palmate feet so I could juke and “break his ankles” as they say!
We would love for you to be a part of the team bringing hope to the youth of Pierce County! To learn more about joining us through prayer, volunteering, or giving, click below.
